NBA Fans react as Timberwolves set new franchise record to defeat Lakers in Game 1 of playoff series, ‘Next game…’

The Minnesota Timberwolves broke a franchise record en route to scoring a Game 1 upset over the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Minnesota Timberwolves upset the Los Angeles Lakers to steal Game 1 on the road. This marks a massive victory for the franchise.

Whatever Anthony Edwards told his Timberwolves teammates in training ahead of the game clearly worked. They looked massively energetic against the Lakers.

Paul Pierce’s demands about LeBron James and Stephen Curry could be met if the Lakers continue to play this poorly.

The Timberwolves set a new franchise record in the win, and fans were rightfully surprised to see Minnesota get a major win.

NBA fans were in awe of the Minnesota Timberwolves’ performance on X. One fan exclaimed, “LeBron watch out… there’s a new King in town.”

Another excited fan claimed, “Anthony Edwards is proving he’s one of the future faces of the NBA, and that’s a good thing because the Wolves crushed the Lakers.”

However, not everyone was impressed, as one Lakers fan wrote, “Franchise record lol, this isn’t happening again.”

While another Lakers fan challenged the Timberwolves to make lightning strike twice, saying, “They have to keep playing like this to win the series.”

“Next game, they will come out reliant on the 3 and be cold as hell,” wrote a frustrated Lakers fan who looked forward to Game 2.

It took a record-setting 21 three-pointers for the Timberwolves to defeat the Lakers tonight. But the Lakers were far from on their form tonight.

JJ Redick will look to prove that tonight was an abberation. Surprisingly, it was Austin Reaves who was off tonight, going just 5-13 from the field.

With Game 2 just days away, the Lakers have very little time to regroup and assess where they’re going. But a win in Game 2 is of paramount importance.

The Lakers have an incredibly talented roster. However, that wasn’t the problem tonight. If anything, it was their efficiency. And that cannot be the problem in Game 2.
