Ramsdale is the second-choice goalkeeper for Arsenal at the moment and is behind David Raya in the pecking order. Raya is on loan at the Gunners from London and Premier League rivals Arsenal, and it is expected that the deal will be made permanent.

Newcastle, though, is in pole position for the England international and want to get a deal done quickly for the 26-year-old.
