With the January transfer window now officially underway, we could be set for a rollercoaster few weeks from across the Premier League’s elite.
Although Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah might be stealing plenty of the headlines following his ongoing contractural situation at Anfield, there are plenty of striking superstars who are in the midst of their own transfer saga.
With a string of Premier League clubs making a new number nine their top priority, some of Europe’s hottest starlets are attracting plenty of January interest.
Ahead of what should be a frantic few weeks behind the scenes, we have taken a look at some of the Premier League strikers who could be on the move.
Dawrin Nunuez – Liverpool
While Dawrin Nunuez might have only arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2022 following a whopping initial fee of £64million, the former Benfica marksman has struggled to live up to his lofty price tag.
Failing to find a regular spot under new boss Arn Slot, the Uruguayan international has recorded just a pair of Premier League strikes so far this season.
With ex-Wolves star Diogo Jota often deployed in a false nine role, Nunez has also registered just a single goal across any competition since returning from November’s international break.
With it suggested that Slot has a new number nine at the top of his January wishlist, CaughtOffside reported over the weekend that Liverpool are actively looking to cash in on the 25-year-old.
Dividing opinion since arriving on the red half of Merseyside two years ago, it has been suggested that a number of Saudi-based club are planning a January swoop.

Jhon Duran – Aston Villa
Eventually staying put at Villa Park last summer amidst serious European intrest, Jhon Duran enjoyed what was a sensational start to the new campaign.
Already scoring 12 goals across all competitions and underlining his reputation as one of Europe’s hottest striking starlets, the 21-year-old finds his stock at a red-hot high.
While Duran might currently be serving a three-match suspension following a red card against Newcastle on Boxing Day, he has certainly been one of the Premier League’s standout performers.
Although the former Chicago Fire youngster might have put pen to paper on a new long-term deal at Villa Park back in October, it appears that Duran is still keen on securing a move away from the Midlands.
With it no secret that PSG are desperate to push Randal Kolo Muani out of the French capital on a permanent basis this month, The Daily Mail reported on Saturday that Luis Enrique’s men are feeling confident that they can strike a deal.

Evan Ferguson – Brighton
While Evan Ferguson might have burst onto the Premier League stage as an 18-year-old sensation two years ago, the Irish marksman has largely seen his career stall over recent times.
Only notching a single strike in his 12 Premier League appearances so far this season, the former Bohemians starlet has also dealt with a handful of injury setbacks.
With ex-England striker Danny Welbeck only continuing to cement his spot as Brighton’s leading man at the Amex, Ferguson appears to have tumbled down Fabian Hurzeler’s attacking pecking order.
However, attracting plenty of interest from across Europe’s elite, it has been heavily speculated over the past few weeks that Brighton could be willing to let Ferguson leave the south coast on a short-term loan deal.
Alongside shock reports that Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Ferguson’s situation at the Amex, The Telegraph are suggesting that new West Ham boss Graham Potter is keen on securing a reunion with the 18-cap international.
