The Portland Trail Blazers were not the only team interested in acquiring Jrue Holiday, an NBA champion with the Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks.

Jake Fischer reports the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks both showed interest in Holiday.

He clarified that the Trail Blazers have no intention of flipping Holiday, and plan to make him a key part of their plans to be competitive next season.

The Western Conference is stacked with talent and it is going to be tough for any team to break through, but Portland is going to give it a go.

Chauncey Billups helped the team improve from a 15th place 21-win record in 2023-24 to earn 36 wins in 2024-25, 12th in the West.

Holiday adds vital experience to their young group, which they will add to in the upcoming NBA Draft, with Portland holding the number 11 overall pick, which our latest mock draft projects to be Collin Murray-Boyles.
