‘This is all your fault’… Ja Morant warned, former NBA star hits out at ‘sad’ Memphis Grizzlies hero

Former NBA star Chandler Parsons went off on Ja Morant’s antics against the Miami Heat.

Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant is arguably one of the most fun-to-watch players in the NBA right now. However, at the same time, Ja has lost a huge chunk of fanbase in the last couple of years.

First, it was gun-related violence off the court. Morant served a 25-game suspension in the 2023-24 NBA season due to it.

However, the Grizzlies superstar hasn’t learned from his mistake as he recently made gun-related gestures in back-to-back games vs the Golden State Warriors and the Miami Heat. As a result, the NBA has slammed a $75,000 fine for his inappropriate gestures.

Parsons reacted to Morant’s gesture against the Heat before the Grizzlies star was fined by the NBA. Either way, Parsons was disappointed with how Morant had behaved in the last two years or so.

“Where I’m confused. He’s been a villain for two years. This is all your fault, bro, you do. You did this all yourself. This is all self-inflicted.

“Everybody loves Ja Morant. A lot of people still do love Ja Morant. He’s one of the most fun, exciting, athletic, must-see players in the NBA.

“This has nothing to do with people disliking his game, his talent, his production, he’s awesome on the basketball court.”

Indeed, not many players can match Ja’s ability on the court. But what fans do not like is his rigidity about inappropriate celebrations.

Morant is currently 25 years old and playing the sixth season of his NBA career. Despite spending so much time in the biggest basketball league in the world, Parsons believes Ja simply doesn’t respect the chance he has earned.

“It’s things like this that just show a level of disrespect and disregard to the NBA, a level of immaturity and just zero growth as a professional NBA player.

“That’s a [role] model for millions and millions of kids. I don’t get it. It’s sad, it’s disappointing. And again, this is a dude that was on a slippery slope.

“He’s so good at basketball. But now, it’s just about ruining his image, his legacy.”

If missing 25 games and losing a huge amount of money due to fines hasn’t taught Morant a lesson, maybe nothing else will.
