The Octagon remains in Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 89 event, a thirteen-bout fight card headlined by Amanda Ribas vs. Rose Namajunas.
Ribas (13-4 MMA) most recently competed last November, where she scored a third-round TKO victory over Luana Pinheiro. That finish got Ribas back into the win column, as she had previously suffered a TKO loss to Maycee Barber.
Meanwhile, Rose Namajunas (11-6 MMA) will enter tonight’s headliner looking to snap a two-fight losing skid. ‘Thug’ made her flyweight debut this past September, where she suffered a unanimous decision loss to Manon Fiorot.
UFC Vegas 89 is co-headlined by a heavyweight bout between Karl Williams and Justin Tafa.
Williams (9-1 MMA) will enter the bout sporting a six-fight winning streak, his latest being a unanimous decision victory over Chase Sherman.
Meanwhile, Justin Tafa (7-3 MMA) is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, with all three victories coming by way of knockout. During that stretch the Aussie has scored finishes over Harry Hunsucker, Parker Porter and Austen Lane.
