Watch Joshua Pacio score incredible comeback, stop UFC veteran Jarred Brooks to unify titles at ONE 171

Joshua Pacio once again beat Jarred Brooks at ONE Championship, and there was no controversy this time around.

The Pacio vs. Brooks trilogy had big stakes with the unification of the strawweight belt in the main event of Thursday’s ONE 171 show in Lusail, Qatar, and Brooks had a strong start. The UFC veteran immediately took Pacio to the ground and came close to the finish with D’arce choke and guillotine attempts.

Pacio survived, and returned the favor in round two. The Filipino star caught a high kick attempt and immediately took Brooks down, systematically breaking him down with punches to the body from top position. Brooks couldn’t escape, and eventually saw himself trapped against the cage eating dozens of punches until the referee mercifully stopped the contest.

Watch the finishing sequence below.

Pacio is now 23-4 as a professional with 14 wins in 18 appearances in the circular cage since 2016. He’s now 3-0 since losing a decision to Brooks in December 2022, including a DQ victory the second time he met “The Monkey God” in a cage. Meanwhile, Brooks is now 5-3 under the ONE banner.
