Watch: Ravindra Jadeja destroys Glenn Phillips' stumps with a beauty in Mumbai Test

Ravindra Jadeja cleaned bowled Glenn Phillips with an absolute beauty on Day 1 of the ongoing third and final Test between India and New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

It was the third wicket of the day for the left-arm spinner of Team India. On the last of the 53rd over, Ravindra Jadeja, coming from wide of the crease, delivered a well-placed ball on a good length targeting the middle stump.

It pitched full on off stump, angling in and accelerating off the surface, and Glenn Phillips attempted to defend it from the front foot. But the Kiwi batter was expecting the ball to turn when it actually didn’t.

The ball went through the narrow gap between bat and pad, hitting his middle stump. Phillips may not have made a significant error, but the pitch certainly helped Jadeja, as the ball’s speed caught him off guard. Phillips departed after scoring 17 runs off 28 balls, including one boundary against India.
