What happened in Chicago Bulls locker room after Josh Giddey scored spectacular half court game winner

Josh Giddey scored a spectacular game winner to lead the Chicago Bulls to a second win over the LA Lakers.

A week ago Josh Giddey was just two steals away from posting a quadruple double against the LA Lakers, with the Chicago Bulls putting up 146 points on the way to a win.

Giddey had an even more spectacular night, winning the return game against the Lakers with a half-court heave in the final seconds.

The star’s long range winner sparked spectacular celebrations, continuing the Bulls’ stunning recent run.

Josh Giddey had the final say during a frenetic last few moments of the Bulls-Lakers contest, with his late three tipping the scales to a 119-117 victory.

His last second shot was an attempt of desperation, and sheer skill and accuracy. It’s the type of shot NBA players attempt in warm-ups, and rarely get the chance to execute with success in real games.

Following the dramatic win, the Bulls posted a video of what happened in the locker room after the win, with Josh Giddey celebrated by his teammates.

Giddey was given the game ball to take home, with Coby White saying, “here you go, game ball bro,” and tossing it to him, to cheers and applause from his teammates.

Josh Giddey was traded to the Bulls in the off-season, with Alex Caruso going the other way. Despite OKC ranking top of the Western Conference, former star Patrick Beverley says he believes the Bulls won the trade.

Giddey posted a triple-double in this contest, ending with 25-14-11. Only Coby White had more points with 26.

Zach LaVine’s exit has allowed Giddey to step up, and he is showing why OKC once spent their first round pick on him. He is now beginning to flourish in Chicago.

Giddey is now averaging 14.1 points for the season, but the splits pre-All-Star break and post are dramatic.

Prior to the break he was posting an average 12.2 points per game, and it has been 22.6 ppg since.
