LeBron James discussed his altercation with Stephen A. Smith when talking to a former teammate, and he had an interesting perspective.
LeBron James set the NBA media on fire when he openly confronted Stephen A. Smith during a Knicks–Lakers game.
It was alleged that LeBron was unhappy that Smith had said some derogatory things about his son, Bronny James, and his NBA career.
Many NBA players have shown support for LeBron James since then. Kevin Love, who played with him on the Cavaliers, slammed Smith for his comments.
And over the weekend, James explained to another former Cavs teammate – one who is now colleagues with Stephen A. Smith – why he was upset.

Eagle-eyed fans zoomed in on the clip of LeBron James surprising Richard Jefferson this past weekend. Jefferson, who is an analyst for ESPN, was on call for the Celtics-Lakers match.
After they shared a hug, Jefferson presumably pulls LeBron in close to learn more about why he was so upset with Stephen A. Smith. James noted that it was the analyst’s ‘plea as a father’ about Bronny’s career that irked him greatly.
“I know… Right, right, right. That’s the only thing I’m tripping over. I don’t give a f**k. Once he talks about, ‘I’m pleading you as a father’, I can’t.”
A few weeks ago, Stephen A. Smith pleaded with LeBron James as a father to end Bronny James’ NBA career, as the young star was floundering on the big stage.

It’s unlikely LeBron James is thinking too much about the altercation with Smith. Right now, he has more pressing concerns, such as his health.
James suffered a groin strain while playing against the Celtics. The initial reports suggest LeBron will be out for at least a few weeks.
The Los Angeles Lakers will have to cope without James for the time being, as the superstar must recover to be at his best for the Lakers’ upcoming playoff run.
Some believe that this injury could be a blessing in disguise. As it is not too serious an injury, it gives James some time to recover and get some rest ahead of the most intense period of the season.
