The NBA All-Star weekend is an extravaganza of basketball which is certainly not to everybody’s tastes.
Once a highlight of the NBA calendar, All-Star weekend generates a perpetual debate over how to restore it to it’s former glories.
The Dunk Contest attracts particular criticism due to a lack of big names. This year the field is made up of rookies, and G League star Mac McClung.
Kevin Durant is one to hit out at the new All-Star Game format, with the NBA trying to shake it up with four separate teams to do battle.
One part of the weekend that always flies under the radar is the All-Star Celebrity game. It is what it is, a light-hearted celebration of the sport, and ahead of it taking place on February 14, the rosters have now been set.
The teams competing will be Team Bonds and Team Rice.

NFL legend Terrell Owens is among the big names set to be involved, along with former WWE champion Bayley, who won at WrestleMania in 2024.
She pleaded last year to be put in the 2025 All-Star game, and has now got her wish.
Bayley will be mixing it with WNBA stars Allisha Gray of the Atlanta Dream, and teammate Kayla Thornton of the Golden State Valkyries.
Last year’s MVP was the Dallas Cowboys’ Micah Parsons, who is not involved this time around.
